“Live as though you’ll die tomorrow, but farm as though you’ll live forever.” ― John Marsden

Welcome, we - Jennifer and Rory, are from Auckland and now our children are grown up we decided to indulge our passion and purchased a 15ac block near Waiuku.

Here we are developing a small organic farm along the principles of Permaculture, with a sprinkling of Biodynamics added in for good measure.

We believe that by nuturing the soil and taking care of everything above and below the surface we will be able to produce enough to support ourselves, and have plenty left over for our families, neighbours, friends, and customers.

If you want to be kept up to date with our progress then check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/permakai

If you want to help us then please get in touch. We are happy to offer accommodation in return for hours of work.

Permaculture

Bill Mollison, one of the founders of Permaculture, has said: "Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system."
